The Disney Channel's original movies have been enjoying explosive success this year, and they have another brand new one scheduled for July. Read it and Weep, starring sisters Kay and Danielle Panabaker, will premiere Friday, July 21 at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT).
The movie tells the story of Jamie, an average school girl who accidentally turns her personal, private journal in as a homework assignment. When her private thoughts end up on the national bestseller list, she must struggle to find a balance between her old life and her new life.

“How my Private Personal Journal Became a Bestseller”, is one of my all time favorite books. My friend from camp leant it to me and when i got home i bought it, i have lent it like,half of my friends and they all LOVE it too. Kay and Danielle are great actresses and i can not wait to see the movie. I’m tivo-ing it cause im away and then my friends and i are having a party for the movie!!
I can’t wait until July 21st. This looks like a GREAT movie and Disney creates great movies. I love disney I love HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL too. I hope they make a HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL TWO. I think almost everyone wants a high school musical two.

How my Private Personal Journal Became a Bestseller is my favorite book ever! And Read It and Weep looks wonderful too, but so far, what I’ve seen in commercials, the ending is going to have a different twist. I’ll just have to wait and see though. Does anyone know of any good fansites for it?
i think this movie will be pretty good. i like the song “outside looking in” i think kay and danielle panabacker look SOOO much alike and they dont even see the resemblence. but i think they are pretty good actresses even though kay acted pretty weird on phil of the future.
I’ve never read “How my Private and Personal Journal Became a Bestseller,” but knowing a little bit about the movie, they should both be great! Kay and Danielle are two of the greatest actesses I know of, so hopefully they’ll live up to expectations in Read it and Weep.
If you want to read the book that the movie is based on it is called ‘How my Private, Personal Journal Became A Bestseller.’ It is a great book I am just suprised that Disney hasn’t said anything about the book. I just hope Read it and Weep is just as good as the book or better!
i can’t wait to see this movie! i love danielle panabaker and can’t wait to see her do awesome in this movie, and eventually reach her peak as an actress!!
