New Blue's Room Series Debuts This Friday

This Friday, January 26, Nick Jr. will officially expand Blue's Room, a spin-off of the original Blue's Clues series, into a weekly series. The premiere episode entitled, “Blue’s Farm Playdate” will debut Friday, January 26 at 10:00 a.m. (ET/PT) and invites preschoolers on an imaginary play date to Old McDonald’s farm. Nick Jr. will premiere a new Blue’s Room episode every Friday at 10:00 a.m. (ET/PT) through Friday, February 23.

Blue's Room is a series of literacy-based specials starring kids' beloved animated puppy, Blue, transformed into a puppet who can now talk with them. Parents and kids may recognize the show, as five half-hour specials have aired on Nick Jr. before, but the show will now be shown weekly. Starring in the show are Blue, her little brother Sprinkles, and Joe. The show's early literacy skills curriculum is promoted through talking, reading, writing, pretending and playing

Also, on January 30, a DVD featuring the new show will be available entitled, Blue’s Room: Knights of the Snack Table. The DVD will feature a new episode of Blue's Room as well as two episodes of the classic series Blue's Clue's.
