The Adventures of Teddy P. Brains: Journey into the Rain Forest

Finding quality educational programming for preschoolers is easy, but as soon as kids hit five or six years old, the pickings suddenly become very slim. On April 24, though, the first adventure in an exciting new series created specifically for 5-8 year-olds will be released. The DVD is titled The Adventures of Teddy P. Brains: Journey into the Rain Forest, and it is both educational and fun.

The adventures follow Teddy, a young boy who has just been made a member of the super-secret Pedagogical Order of Boundless Exploration. Along with his new membership, Teddy receives a magical diploma and his first mission. Accompanied by his cousin Tempest and his dog D'Artagnan, Teddy must journey into the Amazon Rainforest and figure out how to make the world a better place - using beans!

For kids, learning becomes the most exciting part of this mysterious adventure. They will have to use their thinking skills as they help Teddy figure out how the exotic animals of the rain forest, its ecosystem, the water cycle, and many other pieces all fit together and give him clues about his intriguing mission. The DVD is recommended for ages 5-8, but I think kids as young as three will love it as well.
