Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

Thursday May 24, 2007

The highly anticipated sequel to the first two Pirates of the Caribbean movies will finally hit theaters this week. The last installment of Disney's Pirates trilogy, Dead Man's Chest, won the Favorite Movie award in this year's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, so Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is likely to be popular among kids of all ages.

Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of action/adventure violence and some frightening images, some parents/guardians may be wondering if this film is really suitable for kids. Being that this is a movie about pirates, there is a lot of violence. Many stabbings and shootings are shown, and most of the characters look scary and act in frightening, menacing ways. There are also a few instances of innuendo and other suggestive content.
