Disney Movies Available Through Xbox Live

During the E3 Entertainment Expo last week, Microsoft and Disney announced that part of the Disney movie catalog will be made available through the Xbox Live Marketplace. The Xbox Live Marketplace allows Xbox 360 owners to rent the Disney movies in standard or high definition. The movies are downloaded to the Xbox 360 console and can be watched as many times as desired over the rental period. Using the Microsoft Marketplace point system - 360 owners purchase a number of points which can then be used to rent movies and buy other downloadable content - Xbox 360 owners can rent the Disney movies which are currently being made available.

Renting movies through the Xbox Live Marketplace allows the convenience of renting on-demand, without sacrificing video quality or having to worry about HD DVD or Blu-Ray Players and discs. The downside? Movies are only available for a limited amount of time and cannot be transferred to other players or devices.
