Kid Safe Films

Sunday September 23, 2007
Kid Safe Films, an organization started by Jesse & Helen Kalisher in an effort to stop airlines from showing violent movies on flights, has announced that North Carolina Congressman Heath Shuler will soon introduce legislation that would obligate the airlines to do what they won't do voluntarily: end their practice of forcing R-rated movies on children.

While this development is a major step forward for Kid Safe Films, the organization is still working on several different fronts to keep violent movies from being shown on an airplane where small children can easily see them. Right now, they are asking for parents to email them if their child or children have flown in the past year on a major U.S. airline and seen a violent preview or film on the overhead monitors or screens. You can send an email or find out more by visiting the Kid Safe Films website.
