Rock 'N Learn DVDs

Thursday September 27, 2007
As a parent of preschoolers, I really appreciate DVDs that are entertaining and educational. In my own experience, I have found that using TV time to supplement learning offers incredible benefits. The kids are entertained, so that I can have a minute to get something done, and if the program is high quality, they actually learn something in the process. Of course, I am not saying that the TV should be overused or become a substitute for one on one teaching, but why not take advantage of the positive side of children's media?

Rock 'N Learn offers a wide array of such educationally oriented DVDs, focusing on subjects like math and phonics. The DVDs are computer animated and use music to teach different concepts. On the Rock 'N Learn website, parents and educators can easily locate DVDs and even watch a clip before purchasing.
