Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium

Saturday November 17, 2007

Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium is now playing in theaters. The movie is rated G, but some parts of the film will drag for small children. Scenes in the exciting and whimsical toy store will keep their attention, but the majority of the movie focuses more on the characters and their growth. So, if you are taking kids in the 5 and under age group, you may need some extra popcorn and candy!

Being a magical movie about a wonderous toy store, Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium is a great segway into teaching children about the magic of Christmas giving! In fact, Walden Media and Mandate Pictures partnered with Toys for Tots to set a World Record for the Largest Toy drive ever. The challenge was to collect 12,000 pounds of toys between November 6-13th, and they exceeded the goal with over 28,000 pounds of toys. That is a great Christmas story in itself!

The official Walden Media toy drive may be over, but you can still spread Christmas cheer to children in need. The Toys for Tots website makes it easy to find local toy drop locations in different areas around the country. The donated toys go to children in the local community.

My kids can not wait to see this movie. It is going to be the feel good movie of the holiday season. The toys associated with this movie will be hot sellers this holiday.
