I got this news a couple of weeks ago, but I wanted to wait until today, the 4th of July, to write about it. Liberty's Kids, an animated TV series, presents events from the American Revolution as seen through the eyes of three kids who work in Benjamin Franklin’s print shop. The exciting historical stories come to life for kids with an impressive list of voice actors including: Walter Cronkite as Benjamin Franklin, Annette Benning (Abigail Adams), Warren Buffet (James Madison), Billy Crystal (John Adams), Michael Douglas (Patrick Henry), Whoopi Goldberg (Deborah Samson), Ben Stiller (Thomas Jefferson), Arnold Schwarzenegger (Baron von Steuben), Sylvester Stallone (Paul Revere), and many, many more.

The complete series will be released on DVD on October 14, 2008, just in time for the holidays. The set includes 40 episodes of the show in a collectible 6-DVD box set, and it will make an excellent gift for kids ages 6-12. They will love the entertaining stories, and they will gain an appreciation for America's fascinating heritage.
