Have you had a chance to catch the new Disney Channel show Sonny with a Chance? The show stars Demi Lovato, who became a tween sensation after she starred opposite the Jonas Brothers on the popular Disney Channel movie Camp Rock. Sonny with a Chance follows Demi's character Sonny, a Midwestern girl who posted some of her comedy skits on the Internet and was discovered by the producer of the most popular comedy show for tweens, So Random! Now, Sonny is a new star on the show and is living her dream.
The character of Sonny really carries the show. I like her because she is funny, optimistic, and considerate, but when she is pushed too far, she is strong enough to stand up for herself. The comedy in the show is similar to other Disney shows -- much of it revolves around characters being sarcastic and putting each other down; however, Sonny with a Chance does have the added element of the So Random! skits, which provide some creative comedy as well. Sonny with a Chance premiered on February 8th, and it airs Sundays (8:00 p.m. ET/PT) on the Disney Channel. My 7 year old son & I watch “Sonny with a Chance” together. We both find it charmingly funny! Demi Lovato is a wonderful addition to the Disney family. We especially love the skits shown as part of the fictional TV show Sonny works on, “So Random”!
i love Sonny with a Chance! i think this show is going to be great. To me, this show is about how children who are far away can still follow there dreams just like Sonny
