The Disney movie The Odd Life of Timothy Green opens today in theaters, but who is this Timothy Green anyway? In the movie, Timothy is a boy who mysteriously comes to Cindy and Jim Green (Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton) after they receive the devastating news that they will never be able to have children. They don't know where Timothy came from or why he is here. All they know, is that he's for them.

CJ Adams plays Timothy in the movie, and we had the chance to talk with him a little bit about the character. He shed some light on who Timothy is and why he's important.

What was your favorite part of playing Timothy?

Probably my favorite part of playing the character of Timothy Green was just being such a sweet boy. I just liked to play someone who was different and unique. That's what I loved about being Timothy.

How are you and Timothy alike?

Me and Timothy are very truthful. Like, I wouldn't lie about anything. But also, probably the best thing is, that Timothy treats anyone the same no matter how they act. That's what I do. I treat anyone the same. Like, if I had bully at school and he was mean to me, I would be nice to him.

Of all the characteristics Timothy's parents wished for in a child, which do you think is the most important?

Having a good heart, because what's most important is treating people the way that you want them to treat you.

What can grownups learn from Timothy?

What I think grownups can learn from Timothy Green, is that you should always take care of your kids and always have their back rather than always be on their case, you know?

How about kids, what can they learn from Timothy?

I want kids to learn that no matter who the person is, or how they act--like a bully or anything--I want you to treat them the exact same, and then they treat you that way.
