Dreamworks' animated Halloween TV specials featuring our favorite characters from Shrek and Monsters vs. Aliens have added humor and ogreish flair to Halloween for the past couple of years. Now, you can get them all on the same Blu-ray with Shrek's Spooky Stories (Compare prices). To this I say, "Yay!" I like condensing the movie collection any time I can. And, when it comes to our favorite holiday specials, I like to own them on Blu-ray so we can watch them any time. Streaming is fine for us when it comes to movies we won't want to watch over and over, but the holiday movies get watched year after year.
The title features the hilarious Halloween specials Scared Shrekless, which follows Shrek and the gang as they try to freak each other out with a spooky story contest, and Monsters vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space, a candy-filled adventure featuring favorite characters from the movie. Also included are some new and older shorts, including the Shrek "Thriller" short, which is our kids' favorite.
If you have a family of Shrek fans, you can go all out and make it a Shrek Halloween movie party. We did a Shrek movie party last year for Halloween, and the kids had a blast creating their swamp pudding cups and acting like ogres.
