Phineas and Ferb Leads Nominations

By January 28, 2013

The Disney series Phineas and Ferb is leading the nominations in the About.com Readers' Choice Awards 2013 for Best Kids' Cartoon (school-aged kids). What cartoons do your kids watch after school? And, which ones do you like the best for kids?

All of my kids love good old Phineas and Ferb, and I like them too, actually -- not to many rude words, science-related(ish) topics, and two brothers who get along and play together. My kids can all watch the show together, since there isn't any objectionable content for the youngest. They also like to watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Interestingly, both of these shows have high ratings among adults as well as kids, and it's not just parents who are watching. A good kids' cartoon should have, in my opinion, interesting storylines and comedic cleverness the whole family can appreciate, without relying on a bunch of potty words and rude behavior.

Based on your nominations, we'll select the nominees for each category, and from February 19 through March 19, you'll vote to determine the winners. Winners will be announced on March 27, 2013. For more information about the Readers' Choice Awards on About.com, read the Readers' Choice Awards FAQ.
