At the world premiere of Oz the Great and Powerful at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood, I was able to follow the yellow brick road along with the stars of the movie and hundreds of other people to see the much anticipated prequel film that tells the story of a shifty magician and three intriguing witches. Pictured above, you can see James Franco (Oz), Mila Kunis (Theodora), Michelle Williams (Glinda), Rachel Weisz (Evanora) and Zach Braff (Finley) posing in front of the movie logo just before the premiere.
Oz the Great and Powerful opens in theaters everywhere on March 8, 2013. But in the meantime, I will have lots of fun movie info for you including character descriptions, fun activities for families, and most importantly, cast interviews that shed a little more light on the movie, what went on behind the scenes, and the iconic characters. Of course, my favorite is always the interview with the director, and he gave us some great information about making the movie and carrying on the Oz legacy. So, follow me on Twitter or Facebook to keep up to date on all the new Oz info.
Now, while on the yellow brick road, we saw James Franco trying to take off in his balloon...

That's when the winds got strong, and suddenly, I was taken up with him curiously sporting a Glinda crown and a wand, which came in very handy...

Thankfully, we were able to deliver ourselves back safely just in time for the movie.
As a funny side note, after the premiere we stayed at the stunning Langham Huntington in Pasadena. Why do I bring that up? Fun fact: The Langham Huntington is where they filmed the Disney movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3. This is very special to me, not because I'm a huge fan of that franchise. No, not me, but my youngest daughter. She is obsessed with chihuahuas, and therefore, she adores the Beverly Hills Chihuahua movies. She thought it was so amazing that I got to stay at that hotel. I felt like I was walking around a luxurious movie set.
