The game Sugar Rush is one of the game worlds Ralph visits in the Disney animated movie Wreck-It Ralph. The candy wonderland racing game features sweet little girl characters who race around the track in cars made of candy.
When we visited Disney Studios in L.A., animators told us that the land of Sugar Rush is based on Japanese candy. Animators wanted something different than what people normally expect when they think of a candy land. So, they based the color scheme and candies on confections that come from Japan, a country known for creating visually unique games and media.
