A Treasure in My Garden - Guide Review
A Treasure in My Garden truly is a unique and enchanting experience in music and whimsical, far away places. Each beautiful song is a story or lullaby that will captivate parents and children alike.
Although the illustrations and animation for each song were done by different artists, the videos still flow well. They are colorful and fanciful - a joy to watch.
The songs have been translated from French, so some of the lyrics are a bit different. Still, the music is wonderful as are the performances by Hart-Rouge, and there is one song in particular that I will probably sing to my kids every night from now on.
One song, though, deserves a minor cautionary mention. "Boxes" does have some slightly strange lyrics, and the word "death" is used, so kids may ask about the song and what it means. The lyrics are posted on The Secret Mountain website.
