Barney: Let's Go to the Farm - Overview
The kids are busy playing farm, but how can they have a produce stand if BJ has eaten all of the produce? Barney saves the day by taking the children to a real farm, where they learn all about farm life and farm animals as they help prepare for the big barn dance.
Barney: Let's Go to the Farm introduces kids to the farm and farm animals through live action footage of real animals. The DVD includes 17 fun songs and special features that reinforce the farm-themed curriculum.
Barney: Let's Go to the Farm - Guide Review
Barney: Let's Go to the Farm presents an up-beat program that gets kids excitedly singing and clapping along as they learn, but the show could have focused more attention on the animals and a little bit less on Barney and his friends.
Kids will have fun watching Barney and his friends interact with the animals on the farm, but at 50 minutes long, the movie starts to drag somewhere in the middle. In addition, the live animals did not get enough camera time, and the DVD would also have been better if kids could hear more of the animals making their sounds.
Still, the DVD overall is fun and educational, providing children with a basic introduction to farm animals and a few fun facts to peak their interest.
