Bolt - Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack
Did you know that members of the animation team actually made a cross country road trip in order to take photos and observe the landscapes for the lighting and other aspects of the animation in Bolt? After watching the special features on this DVD, I feel guilty for having watched the film in theaters with no notice of the amazing details in the animation. I would never have known the lengths that animators went to in order to create an interesting and beautiful background for the story.
I have a whole new appreciation for the film now, and I highly recommend watching the special features on this DVD with your family. Kids will love learning about the making-of and seeing Miley and John Travolta sing and talk about being voice actors. Kids will also get a big kick out of watching the makers of the film run around inside of a huge hamster ball.
The bonus features on the Bolt Blu-ray (which also includes a copy of the DVD) are not too short, not too long, and fun to watch. All versions of the DVD/Blu-ray also contain a fun little short, "Super Rhino," and the Blu-ray disc features a game, which we could not play because our Harmony remote wasn't programmed the right way.
