Bratz Kidz Fairy Tales - Overview

The Bratz Kidz - Cloe, Jade, Yasmin and Sasha - are all set to put on an assembly for the kindergartners at their school. For the big show, Jade will play Snow White, Cloe will be Rapunzel, Yasmin will be Cinderella, and Sasha will play Little Red Riding Hood. Before the big show, though, the girls start dissing the fairy tale heroines they are about to portray. What kind of heroine relies on a prince to save her or falls for the transparent tricks of a big bad wolf anyway?

The Bratz are bragging about how much better each could have done in the place of the fairy tale maiden she portrays, when a talking frog suddenly appears. In the name of the Fairy Tale Keeper, he transports the Bratz Kidz to Fairy Tale Land, where each of the Bratz will have to secure a happy ending for the character she is supposed to be. The girls will learn an important lesson about judging others, but will they be able to return home in time to show the kindergartners what they have learned about walking in someone else's shoes?

Bratz Kidz Fairy Tales - Guide Review

Little girls will adore this new DVD coupling the Bratz Kidz characters with some favorite fairy tale heroines. The DVD animation is decent, and the story has a good and clear moral. While the Bratz Kidz do have that passion for fashion, they are not as over the top as the older versions of Cloe, Sasha, Jade, and Yasmin. The glamour does not go overboard and the story has a lesson as well as entertainment value. Although, parents may be yawning through this one, as the writing and storyline do not attempt to capture the attention of anyone over about age 9.

While the Bratz Kidz are usually well-behaved, they do use a few words parents might not want kids to imitate. Some examples of such words or phrases are: "lame," "jerk," and "butt." The girls are not afraid to speak their minds, so at times they come off as slightly rude or arrogant, but they do learn a lesson about that as the story progresses.
