New Christmas DVD Releases (2009)

One of the most classic of all holiday stories, the cartoon version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas is available this year on Blu-ray. The cartoon features an animated version that follows the Dr. Seuss story How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Children will recognize the poetic lines from the original story in this cartoon which is shorter and more suited to very young children than the movie version starring Jim Carrey.

Mickey's Christmas Carol presents the best children's rendition of a Christmas Carol ever made. The animated classic is available on other releases as well, but this DVD is part of the Classic Short Films collection and also contains the adorable animated film Small One along with Pluto's Christmas Tree and Santa's Workshop. Travel with Dora to Christmas past, present and future as she and her friends try to help Swiper understand the error of his ways before it's too late. An endearing holiday special, Dora’s Christmas Carol Adventure will enchant young fans of Dora and help them learn about the joy of giving and the importance of friendship. The DVD version of this feature-length adventure contains six minutes of the story that will not be shown on TV when the special airs as well as two exclusive music videos.

Veggie Tales movies teach kids Bible related lessons through silly stories about our veggie friends and other religious or historical characters.

Starring Shatner as the voice of Santa, Gotta Catch Santa Clause is a CG animated film that follows a group of kids as they try to "get some proof he's up on the roof" by catching Santa Clause. But, there may be a glitch in their plan, as the kids are not the only ones trying to get their hands on Jolly Old Saint Nicholas.

Heat Miser and Snow Miser can't stop bickering, but they aren't the only problem children Mother Nature has. North Wind may act like a real momma's boy, but his secret plan to toss Santa out of the picture and take over his job reveals his truly egotistical and selfish character.
