The Very First Noel - Overview

Narrated by the voice of Andy Griffith as Melchior, one of the three wise men, The Very First Noel tells the wonderful story of the first Christmas and the birth of the Savior. The colorful, CG animated tale is told in rhyme, as the wise men make their journey from the East and follow the star to Bethlehem. Softly played renditions of various Christmas carols create a beautiful musical background for the poetic story.

The Very First Noel - Guide Review

Short and sweet, The Very First Noel relates a wonderful and unique children's version of the Christmas story. Colorful animation, which is perfectly suited to the story and impressively free of the distracting fuzziness that generally characterizes CG animation, makes the film a joy to watch. Andy Griffith adds a sort of country charm to the voice of the rhyming, narrating wise man Melchior, creating a story that is also a joy to listen to. The Very First Noel is sure to become a Christmas classic.
