The Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules sequel to the to movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid is based on the second novel in the Wimpy Kid book series. Greg and Rodrick are involved in some brotherly "bonding," but Rodrick has the upper hand due to some dirt he has on little brother Greg. As if Rodrick didn't already have enough of an advantage, now he's making Greg's life extra miserable.

Rodrick Rules is book number two in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series. Highly popular among kids 8-13 or so, the series chronicles the life of Greg Heffley as he tries to navigate his way through the social jungle that is middle school. Kids really connect with the books, because Greg expresses many of the same joys, heartaches and fears that most kids face as they struggle through the school years. Kids also love the books because of the humor, which speaks directly to kids on many levels and is not ashamed of the type of grody humor kids just love.
