Guide Review - Shaquille O'Neal: Like No Other
Shaquille O'Neal: Like No Other presents a documentary style look at the career and character of basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal. Known as one of the most dominating centers the NBA has ever seen, Shaquille acts as a role model to millions of kids all over the world. In addition to covering how Shaq helped lead the Los Angeles Lakers to three consecutive NBA championships, along with other wins and losses throughout his career, Shaquille O'Neal: Like No Other also gives viewers a glimpse of Shaq's sense of humor, his big heart, and his desire to help others succeed.
By covering Shaq's career from the beginning, Like No Other allows viewers to see the disappointing failures he went through during his first years as an NBA player; and more importantly, how he turned failure into determination, going on to accomplish what most NBA players can only dream of. Kids watching the DVD also get a glimpse of Shaq's personality and character, with emphasis put on his talent for having fun and making others feel comfortable. The documentary also puts great value on Shaq's understanding of teamwork, and his desire to help others succeed. I would have loved to see more about his community involvement and charitable work, but the DVD is, after all, about basketball.
Note to Parents - Shaquille O'Neal: Like No Other
The DVD offers good blend in covering Shaq's basketball career while giving some insight into his character and personality. With the exception of one use of the word "damn" by Shaq, Shaquille O'Neal: Like No Other paints a picture of Shaquille O'Neal that is appropriate for children and makes him a worthy role model.DVD Special Features - Shaquille O'Neal: Like No Other
