TV & Movie Inspired Halloween Costumes

Arrr! A family of pirates fits the bill for costumes that can be scary, adventurous and fun for Halloween. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is the latest in a franchise that brought the villains of the high seas into high fashion, and shows like Jake and the Never Land Pirates and The Backyardigans have even make pirates of our toddlers and preschoolers. Thus, no matter what age or gender, pirate costumes are in for the Halloween season.

Pirate costumes are available in a wide variety of styles, and I love all the new girl pirate ensembles. If super scary is what your kid wants, check out the Pirates of the Caribbean ghost pirate costume pictured above, or Davy Jones get ups are also available.
