In the first DVD from the new Heroes of Freedom series, the stories of Harriet Tubman and Rosa Parks are excellently portrayed for children. The dramatizations are filmed in a high-quality, tasteful manner, and the narration is simple, direct, and interesting. *Parents and teachers should be aware that one scene in the movie about Rosa Parks depicts her, as a young girl, holding a large rock as if she will throw it at a boy. The movie tells the true story of her standing up to a boy who threatened to beat her up. She does not actually throw the rock, but she holds it as if she will throw it if he comes after her.
