Sharpay Evans: Apparently, even though Sharpay sang along with the rest of the school in the High School Musical closing number "We're All in This Together," she didn't really learn her lesson. In High School Musical 2, she sets out to steel Gabriella's man. She may be on her own turf - her grandfather owns the prestigious country club where everyone is working for the summer - but her devious ways do not usually pay off.
In the sequel to Disney Channel's pop culture phenomenon High School Musical, school is out for the summer, and Troy (Zac Efron), Gabriella (Vanessa Anne Hudgens), and their friends all get a job at a posh country club - a club founded by Sharpay's grandfather. The competition is on when Sharpay goes after Troy and the students take their performances to new heights in preparation for the club's annual mid-summer night musical production.
