Troy Bolten: Zac Efron stars in High School Musical 2 as Troy Bolton. Troy is the high school basketball star, and the girls love him. He can be slightly cocky at times, but he is a good person with a true heart. In the first High School Musical, Troy was willing to become the laughing stock of the school in order to be true to himself (he wouldn't admit it at first, but he loves to sing) and keep a promise to a friend. Now, in HSM 2, Troy must decide between Sharpay and Gabriella, and Sharpay does not like to lose.
In High School Musical 2, the sequel to Disney Channel's pop culture phenomenon High School Musical, school is out for the summer, and Troy (Zac Efron), Gabriella (Vanessa Anne Hudgens), and their friends all get a job at a posh country club - a club founded by Sharpay's grandfather.
