Little Einsteins: Rocket's Firebird Rescue - Overview

Rocket's Firebird Rescue is the second full-length adventure featuring the hit TV show for preschoolers, Little Einsteins. The first DVD, Our Huge Adventure introduced the series before it first aired in October, 2005. The Little Einsteins - Leo, Annie, Quincy and June and their flying machine, Rocket - take kids on educational adventures, often with famous works of art as a background, set to famous classical music pieces. In addition to teaching kids about music and musical terms, the Little Einsteins' travels often take kids to real places where kids learn about famous landmarks and cultural traditions.

In Rocket's Firebird Rescue, Rocket relates his favorite story about the Firebird (his version is loosely based on the famous Russian tale). In Rocket's story, the Firebird has been captured by a terrible ogre. Using their individual talents and the magic feather the Firebird sends them, the Little Einsteins set off to Russia in order to set her free. Along they way, they see many exciting landmarks and face some formidable challenges. If the Little Einsteins can use their musical knowledge to overcome the obstacles, they can set the Firebird free and restore beautiful music to Russia.

Little Einsteins: Rocket's Firebird Rescue - Guide Review

Rocket's Firebird Rescue relates an enchanting story set in an exciting winter land. The DVD contains several educational elements as well, including musical, cultural, and academic topics that are integrated as part of the story. As with all Little Einsteins episodes, the program helps kids gain a deeper understanding of and appreciation for music and the arts by making them an exciting part of the story and using characters who model a love for music and all things musical.

Parents should know that this DVD contains several references to magic. The ogre uses magic to create animals which stand as barriers to the Little Einsteins. Also, the magical feather of the Firebird helps the Little Eisnteins enhance their musical abilities as they ward off the ogre's creatures.
