2012 is an exciting year for new movies in the kids' and family genre. Here is a list of the year's new family/kids movie theatrical releases. Most of the movies included are rated G or PG, but with the recent explosion of PG-13 titles that are aimed at and marketed to families and kids (superhero movies, adventures movies and such), I have included some PG-13 titles so parents are aware of the dates and can find out more about them. Many of the movies will be released in theaters in 2D, 3D, and/or IMAX. Check your local theaters to find out which ones offer movies in 3D.
