The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: Friendship Edition - DVD Review
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh has been released on DVD before, but the Friendship Edition contains added bonus features to supplement the original stories. The three adventures were originally released in 1977 and comprised the first animated feature to be based on the timeless stories by A.A. Milne:
- "Honey Tree": This tale introduces Winnie the Pooh and his characteristic "rumbly tummy." In the adorable song "Rumbly in My Tumbly," Pooh describes his love for honey as he makes the precarious attempt to procure some honey from a nearby bee nest. He also makes a visit to friend Rabbit and, after eating Rabbit's honey, finds himself very unfortunately stuck in Rabbit's doorway.
Charming animation, eloquent storytelling, and memorable songs make this DVD a classic that will be around for ages. The stories are a delightful animated presentation of children's literature at it's best.
