Tangled - Official Synopsis
Walt Disney Pictures presents Tangled, one of the most hilarious, hair-raising tales ever told. When the kingdom’s most wanted—and most charming—bandit Flynn Rider (voice of Zachary Levi) hides out in a mysterious tower, he’s taken hostage by Rapunzel (voice of Mandy Moore), a beautiful and feisty tower-bound teen with 70 feet of magical, golden hair. Flynn’s curious captor, who’s looking for her ticket out of the tower where she’s been locked away for years, strikes a deal with the handsome thief and the unlikely duo sets off on an action-packed escapade, complete with a super-cop horse, an over-protective chameleon and a gruff gang of pub thugs. In theaters in Disney Digital 3D, Tangled is a story of adventure, heart, humor and hair—lots of hair. .
Tangled - Fun Facts
Tangled is an animated film in a style all its own. The animation has the beautiful, old fashioned look of a painting -- like characters from a work of art have come to life. It is fitting that a this new animated film is special in this way, since Tangled marks the 50th fully animated Walt Disney Feature. An amazing accomplishment, and while it might seem more nostalgic to have had the 50th film be hand drawn, the fact that Tangled is done in 3D CG animation shows how far animation has come.
There is another recent Disney movie with animation that also has the look of a painting. The background imagery in Bolt was animated to give the feel of an American painting. I confess that I did not notice this as I watched the movie, but after seeing the special feature in which this fact was pointed out, I love to watch the movie and notice the beautiful details in the background.
