"Elmo's World: Reach for the Sky" Overview
Elmo and Dorothy learn what it means to reach for the sky in more ways than one. In the first segment, Elmos World explores JUMPING! From jumping rope to sack races, children show Elmo what jumping is and the many ways it can be applied for fun.
Next, Elmo explores reaching high in a different way by learning about school. What is a day at school like? How do you ask a question in school? Elmo follows a little girl through her day at school and highlights the fun learning experience that school can be.
Finally, the last Elmos World segment covers the sky. Well, things that you can see in the sky, like the sun and moon, airplanes, kites and other things. Elmo even dances on the moon.

Elmos World DVDs distinct segments allow parents to limit viewing time if needed, and to stop the DVD to talk and play with their kids about the things Elmo teaches them.
In the first segment about jumping, Elmo shows kids how fun this great form of physical exercise can be. Kids will especially benefit by watching the children practice a wide variety of jumping activities. Kids will probably want to jump around and imitate them.
The school segment provides a brief overview about going to school, but it is a big subject to tackle in one Elmos World Segment. The most valuable part of this segment is the strong portrayal of school in a positive light.
The last segment is very cute with Elmo helping kids learn about what they might see in the sky. Especially great is Elmos Hip-Hop dance on the moon.
