Sesame Street Old School Volume 1 - Overview
The first volume of Sesame Street Old School contains episodes from Sesame Street's first five seasons. The premiere episode from each season is fully restored, and the set also contains bonus segments including celebrity appearances and favorite moments.
Kids will probably get a kick out of seeing how some of the characters have changed (Oscar used to be orange), and seeing the fashions and hairstyles from the time period. Parents can also share with their children fun facts and even some games from the 16-page booklet that comes with the DVD.
Sesame Street Old School Volume 1 - Guide Review
Watching Sesame Street Old School is like having your very own time capsule straight out of 1969-1974. The episodes are fun to watch, and kids of all ages can learn about how things change over time as they compare Sesame Street's yesterday to today.
The DVDs do contain a disclaimer stating that the DVD is intended for adults and does not meet the needs of today's preschoolers; however, even old Sesame Street episodes are obviously fine for children.
