Mary Jane (M.J.): She is the love of Peter's life, and maybe of Harry's too. M.J. is smart and kind, but she has a troubled past. Her dream is to be a singer on Broadway, but she often becomes the damsel in distress when villains go after her in order to get Spider-Man.

Things are just beginning to go well for Peter Parker. He has found the balance between being Spider-Man and having a life of his own, and he has won the girl of his dreams. Good times never last long for Peter, though, and even with three new powerful villains - Sandman, Venom, and the New Goblin (Peter's friend Harry, who turns on him after finding out that he is Spider-Man.) - his greatest battle is within himself.
