Bottom line: StarStruck, starring teen star Sterling Knight, tells the story of a girl who unwittingly falls for a pop star. A typical tween romance, the movie is funny and dreamy with lots of light-hearted teen drama and little concerning content.

StarStruck - Overview
Jessica has had it with her sister's obsession with pop star Christopher Wilde, so when she and Christopher accidentally bump into each other, he doesn't get a warm reception. Unfortunately, thanks to the relentless paparazzi, Jessica and Christopher are forced to spend some time together.
After a day running from the cameras/sightseeing and an adventure in the mud, the two get to know each other better. Christopher is not as bad as Jessica thought, and Jessica has something to offer that Christopher has not gotten from other girls -- the truth. But when their new relationship threatens to jeopardize Chris' shot at getting the part in a new movie, the truth takes a back seat, and Jessica wonders if her first impression really was the more correct understanding of Christopher's character.
StarStruck - Guide Review
This predictable and corny yet very cute story will delight kids and tweens (especially girls) with a musical romance in a setting that has become all the rage these days -- pop stardom. Christopher's pop star life doesn't seem so bad to everyone else, but from where he's standing, it's a pretty hard road to walk. Jessica, however, is the only girl who doesn't seem to be madly in love with Christopher Wilde just because he is a star, so naturally, she's the one he goes for. The romance brews as Christopher and Jessica get to know each other, and it is lighthearted and fun -- not too intense for the targeted age group.
The movie does contain a lot of emphasis on stardom, complete with a cute pop star guy and crazed female fans screaming their lungs out. In at least one instance, a girl screams "Oh my God." The friendship that develops between Christopher and Jessica and how his stardom gets in the way is the main issue in the story. There are a couple of almost kisses, but the show mostly focuses on the friendship part of their romance.
