The Penguins of Madagascar - DVDs

That stealthy group of covert penguins made their big debut in the Madagascar movies, earned starring roles in a couple of animated shorts, and are now the stars of their own TV series, The Penguins of Madagascar. They organize covert ops which keep zoo life interesting, and their mission is to make people laugh. Here are DVDs featuring the penguins and their hilarious antics.

The hilarious title episode on this DVD finds Skipper in a zombie-like state that has his penguin pals scared out of their minds. Featuring 8 episodes that are suspenseful and silly, I Was a Penguin Zombie is our family's favorite Penguins title yet.

  • "I Was a Penguin Zombie"
  • "Driven to the Brink"
  • "Huanted Habit"
  • "Lemur See, Lemur Do"
  • "Eclipsed"
  • "Mort Unbound"
  • "Misfortune Cookie"
  • "It's About Time"

"Driven to the Brink" is a DVD premiere episode which will not air on TV for four weeks after the DVD release date. In this story, Rico's driving is quite amusing to Skipper, until things go weirdly wrong. This DVD is a great title for Halloween time or any time.

New characters at the zoo cause considerable chaos in these 8 episodes of The Penguins of Madagascar on the DVD New to the Zoo:

  • "In the Line of Doody"
  • "The Big Squeeze"
  • "Out of the Groove"
  • "Scorca!"
  • "The Red Squirrel"
  • "Jiggles"
  • "Untouchable"
  • "Cat's Cradle"

A couple of really great episodes make this DVD worth having for Penguins fans. In "Out of the Groove," the baboons hold King Julien's groove hostage, and even the penguins can't demystify the magic that has taken the King's groove away. Also, in the episode "Scorca," no one believes Private when he comes to them with an outrageous story about a sky whale. But, when they find out he was telling the truth, everyone must work together to beat the black and white monster.

The Blu-ray also contains two preview episodes or shorts of the Penguins of Madagascar series,  “Popcorn Panic” and "Gone in a Flash,” and they appear in other bonus features as well.
