Based on the best-selling series of books, The Spiderwick Chronicles is a live-action fantasy starring Freddie Highmore. The movie tells the story of the Grace family (Jared, his twin brother Simon, sister Mallory and their mom). When they move into the secluded old house owned by their great, great uncle Arthur Spiderwick, Jared uncovers a magical mystery surrounding the estate and mystical creatures who inhabit it.
