The Suite Life on Deck - Overview
In this spin-off series from The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Zack and Cody have grown up some, and they are starting a new adventure. Along with London Tipton, daughter of the Tipton hotel owner, they are off to cruise the world aboard the SS Tipton, a ship also owned by London's daddy. The three will be attending Seven Seas High, a school where they can sail through classes out on the open sea.
The Suite Life on Deck - Guide Review
As usual, Zack and Cody find trouble wherever they go. The twins' exploits are usually harmless (not to mention highly unrealistic), and sometimes even well-intended, but they do seem to cause a lot of chaos. Add to their antics London's spoiled rich girl drama and her country girl roommate, Bailey, and you can see why Mr. Moseby (the man in charge) and Miss Tutweiller (the teacher) have their hands quite full.
The Suite Life on Deck is very similar to the original Suite Life of Zack & Cody as far as content and story plots. As the boys are a bit older, there is a definite increase in plots and plot points involving girls. Zack and Cody may even get a few kisses here and there.
The boys have not really matured much in regard to their disrespect for authority, though, and they are still the twin kings of put downs and mild insults. Kids will find the boys funny and entertaining, but parents will have to decide whether the level of attitude displayed by the characters is OK or too much.
The Suite Life on Deck - Topics and Themes
- Girls: the twins are always trying to impress the girls. Whether they are trying to win a girl's heart on the ship or talking about girls back home, Zack and Cody often have girls on their mind.
- School: Like most kids, Zack and Cody would love to get out of going to school. But on a cruise ship, school can get interesting sometimes.
- Trouble: Zack and Cody get into a lot of jams due to disobeying rules or trying to carry out crazy plans. They always get out of trouble one way or another, though.
