From the article: Top 10 Christmas Movies for Kids
Cuddling on the couch watching a favorite Christmas movie is a great way to relax during the busy season and bring in some Christmas cheer. Our family has a couple of movies that we watch over and over every year. We can't let a Christmas season go by without watching at least one or two versions of A Christmas Carol, and we also have to see How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Another favorite -- one that we feel reminds us of the reason for the season -- is The Very First Noel, a funny and clever version of the Christmas story narrated by Andy Griffith. The Older Movies Are Best
- Does anyone remember Emmitt Otter's Jugband Christmas? That is a classic that isn't really shown anymore. But definitely a favorite!

Classics are the best!
- You really can't beat the joy, music and wonderful message in the classics such as Rudolph, Frosty, Charlie Brown's Christmas, Mickey's Chrismas Carol and especially the ORIGINAL Grinch. The newer live action version is horrible, disgusting and completely inappropriate. Not to mention Dr. Suess' wonderful message is completely lost in all the chaos. I would never show it to my class, let alone my own kids. As for newer movies, Polar Express is always a huge hit!

Don't forget Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol
- Before Rudolph and Charlie there was Mr. Magoo and his Theatrecal version of A Christmas Carol. Wonderfully told with great musical scores that will have you singing along. Does anyone else remember it?

- National Lampoon's Christmas with Chevy Chase is a must for our families. When apart, we plan the night and watch it at the same time, laughing and sometimes phoning each other to hear the others laughter. Family friends are now part of the tradition.

christmas cartoons
- We watch all the favorite Christmas cartoons each year. Frosty, Rudolph, Charlie Brown, A Year Without Santa... Rankin Bass still rules in our house at Christmas time...I don't think they will ever be replaced. Ages 2-68, we will watch any Rankin Bass Christmas special anytime.

classics never fade
- Even though some of these movies are older, they are still tops in Christmas movies. What kid, even now days, doesn't love Rudolph and Frosty? Movies like Elf and others are good for big kids and adults, but for young children, the Grinch cartoon and the old Rankin Bass classics still make the top list, and have not been dethroned by any recent releases.
